How much does Breakthrough cost?

Breakthrough is 100% free for all students! This includes all summer and school year programming, field trips, summer transportation, and additional support.

Is transportation provided?

Yes! We currently offer busing for our students to get to and from our summer scholars program.

Does Breakthrough provide meals?

During the Summer Program, we provide breakfast and lunch for all students!

What does a typical day look like in the Summer Program?

Breakthrough students start their days at 9AM with breakfast. Then they attend four academic classes in the morning, each 45 minutes long, with a break in between for our All Student Meeting (ASM). After a 40-minute lunch break, the students enjoy recess go to spend some down time with their Breakthrough families, and then go to two elective courses of their choice. The day ends at 4PM when we load up the buses.

What is ASM?

ASM is a pep rally with a ton of student participation, featuring a game, chants, and learning. It’s a space to practice voice, self-confidence, vocabulary, and to extend knowledge!
